Production process

Start the infectionThe Aquilaria tree is infected with a specific type of fungus. The tree enters de- fence mode changing the odour, colour and com- position of the tree, producing the oily dark resin.
Sorting Agarwood chipsAn artisan sorts the unprocessed distillery chips removing the unusable wood and leaving only the resinous agarwood for the distillation process for Oudh.
Processing Oudh chipsThe agarwood chips will then soak until ready for distillation. With over 150 compounds each creating a distinct smell, the artisan is tasked with seperating different pieces of wood resulting in a variety of essences of the pure Oudh oil.
The distillation processThe chips are then trans ferred to the distillery where they undergo distillation. This also effects the distinct final scent.
SunshineOnce the Oudh oil has been distilled it is kept in open sunlight to allow any excess moisture to evaporate ensuring the purity of oil.
