Functionality: Amino

It is used to enhance the bond between organic and inorganic materials, improving mechanical properties, water resistance, aging resistance and electrical properties. Its main application areas include reinforcing composite materials such as plastics, glass fiber and mineral wool, improving the adhesion of adhesives and sealing materials to surfaces such as glass and metal and serving as an adhesion promoter for coatings and inks.

Functionality: Amino

It is used to improve the interfacial adhesion between inorganic fillers and organic polymers, thereby enhancing the mechanical, electrical and aging resistance of composite materials. Its main application areas include composite materials (such as mineral-filled resins and glass fiber wool), coatings, inks, adhesives and sealing materials, as well as nanomaterial surface modifiers and enzyme immobilisers.

Our APOS-DAMO HP (= Adhesion Promoter Oligomeric Silane DAMO-Hydrophobic Polymer) is an oligomeric bisaminosilane primarily used as an additive in adhesives and sealants to improve wet adhesion on various substrates, including concrete, aluminum and PVC. It also enhances the tensile strength and modulus of the formulation and reduces yellowing in highly elastic products. It is also suitable for use in the coatings industry, where it can be used to treat inorganic fillers or as an additive to enhance the overall performance and quality of products.

Primarily used as a coupling agent and surface modifier, its bifunctional structure enables it to establish chemical bonds between inorganic materials and organic polymers, improving the materials' adhesion, wet strength, water resistance, and dispersibility. It is widely used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, glass fibers, fillers (such as silica and clay) and composite materials.

It is mainly used as a high-efficiency penetrating building waterproof protective agent, which can penetrate into the substrate to form a hydrophobic three-dimensional silicone resin network, protecting concrete and stone from moisture, acid and alkali corrosion; it is also a surface treatment agent for inorganic fillers and pigments, used to improve their dispersibility and compatibility in polymers such as plastics and rubber.

It is also widely used in precision casting, optical glass processing, semiconductor manufacturing and other fields. It can also be used to synthesize organosilicon intermediates and manufacture aerogels and phosphors.

It is primarily used as a crosslinking agent, particularly for the silane crosslinking of polyethylene (PE), resulting in high-performance wire, cable, and tubing. It is also used as a coupling agent to enhance the adhesion between glass fibers, inorganic fillers, and polymers (such as resins), thereby improving the mechanical strength and water resistance of composite materials. It is also used in the production of specialty coatings and as a moisture scavenger in adhesives and sealants.
